Jared Mattson

Jared Mattson is a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Traditional Tae Kwon Do and an Adult Lead Instructor for all class levels at Asheville Sun Soo. Mr. Mattson is a dedicated pharmacist and the owner of Carolina Mountain Pharmacy, where he combines clinical expertise with a passion for personalized patient care. Originally from Alaska, Jared relocated to Asheville 15 years ago, drawn to the region’s sense of community and natural beauty. Outside of his professional life, he has spent the past 8 years practicing Traditional Tae Kwon Do at Asheville Sun Soo, a discipline he enjoys sharing with his wife, Rebecca, and their daughter, Lia. In 2023, Mr. Mattson was invited by GM Morris to join the adult Sun Soo teaching staff. With an enjoyable blend of high energy, humor and technical expertise, Mr. Mattson has developed into a talented instructor, in the rotation as a lead instructor for all of Sun Soo’s different class types, while continuing his personal development as an ongoing practitioner. His commitment to both his family and his community shines through in all that he does.
